Porsche 996 GT2 "Biene Maja"
Body:
- painted in Porsche black and speedyellow
- painted the red lines between the two colors by hand
- rear window was also painted
- draw, printed and put on some decals
- selfmade front-skirt
- widened the front fenders and integrated them to the body shape
- widened the rear fenders with integrated air intake
- selfmade side plates
- selfmade rear-skirt
- selfmade rear wing out of 6 single parts
- widened the 996 GT3 R wing on each side about 7mms
- drilled a hole in the hood
Chassis & wheels:
- adapted 19 inch BBS wheels and painted them black
- put on flat tires from a 996 GT3 Mk1
- adapted new brakes from a 996 GT3 R and painted them in ceramic optic
- painted the brake calipers gold and put Brembo decals on
- widened the front and especially the rear axis
- lowered the whole model
Interior & trunk:
- adapted a 996 GT3 R interior and removed all parts from it
- filled all holes and things i did not need
- painted the interior black (shiny)
- adapted a 996 GT3 R rollcage and painted it black (shiny)
- adapted the 996 GT3 R driver seat
- put in a seat from a Mercedes SL 55 AMG and painted it black
- seat buckets in carbon fiber optic
- put in racing belts with photo-etched-parts
- adapted a 996 GT3 R dashboard and fomed it completely new
- made new instruments
- formed the little details on the dachboard with photo-etched-parts
- put in an adapted resin steering wheel
- put some carpet in the interior
- selfmade doormats with bare metal foil
- selfmade fire-extinguisher (painted and put on decals)
- filled the center console and put carbon fiber decals on it
- built a new gear box
- put cables all over in the interior
- selfmade door panels
- adapted a "trunk" from a 996 GT3 R and removed all parts
- built a complete new trunk (all parts are selfmade)
- put cables all over the trunk
Details
- removed the old lights and built some new ones
- made black rings around the headlights
- put racing grill behind all air intakes
- made the original license plates
- removed the original mitrrors and made new ones
- selfmade mirror-holders
- adapted side windows from a 996 GT3 R
- adapted side windows and put photo-etched-parts on (racing style)
- small details all over the body
- put carbon fiber decals on different parts of the rear wing
- made some tow-hooks and painted them red
- engine was also slightly modificated
--> only the rear lights and the roof stayed in stock condition
