Porsche 911 Le Mans 1970 Nr.66


The basement:
The kit was made from the japanese producer Arii. The Porsche 911 wasn't very well made but it's the only 1/32 scale model of the early 911's which exists. The original car raced in Le Mans 1970 which was also the reason why I built that version.

The conversion:
At first I painted the body with Tamiya white. The body is well made and the proportios are also nice. The most important thing are the small rear fenders of the early 911's.

After white follows black. So I painted parts of the body, the interior and the rims in semi gloss black. The interior doesn't stand on many parts so it isn't hard to build it.

Here's the finished body on the chassis. The windshield seals and some other details were painted. That makes the car looks better; a lot.

The role model for my conversion. Sadly there are nearly no pics of the Porsche 911 in the internet so it's difficult to find all sponsors and badges on the cars.

At last I made the decals by my own and printed them. This 911 got two extra frontlights from a Fly model. Therefore I had to make some holes in the body.
