Porsche 908/3 Targa Florio Test March 1970


The basement:
I got a cheap model on eBay. It had some scratches but that wasn't a problem for me because the real car wasn't that perfect either. THe version I was going to build run some test laps around the Targa Florio with some different drivers.

The conversion:
The disassembling is very easy at FLY's 908/3, especially when you have already disassembled about 10 of them.

I just had to sand the body a little bit because the original test car painted very badly too.

And then I painted the model in red. An unusual color for Porsche cars but it had its reason: Porsche wanted to be secret and with a red car you don't get attention between all the Ferrari and Maserati.

The new interior with some colored accents. ANd I also removed the driver.

Not very spectacular: The new decals. But one detail is interesting: The license-plates. The cars ran on public roads!

Some last details like the airintakes and the model was finished...
