Porsche went with four GT1 to Le Mans 1998 but just two of them started in the race. The other two were painted green and white with Jever livery. These cars just ran in practise. I got a Jever version from FLY to make the green one out of it.
The conversion:
At first I removed the "wrong" sponsors and numbers with paint killer so I musn't paint the whole car.
Afterwards I disassembled the car. Not difficult but way more parts than on a 908/3 or 917k.
I had to mix the green color anyways, because the mirrors were yellow from the Donnington version.
The driver is out on an other FLY GT1 and just needed some small color accents.
Made one out of two. I had two broken wings and cut them in pieces to form a new one.
The decals were designed, printed and put on. And then the model got some clear-coat.
